Just a heads up….Tentative date for the 3rd annual Friends Of Kaercher Creek Bass Tournament is June 12th.
The annual banquet of the Blue Mountain Chapter of The Rocky Mountian Elk Foundation is planned for April 3 at the Leesport Farmer’s Market. Door open at 4:30. For advanced reduced tickets visit the national website of RMEF and search events for details.
The Elite Force Bassmasters Club has scheduled an open buddy tournament, Blue Marsh Lake, April 3. Learn more at Elite Force Bassmasters on Facebook.
The Izaak Walton League of Berks County will host its annual Spring Buddy Bass Tournament, April 10 at Blue Marsh Lake. Launch from State Hill Boat Ramp. Cost per boat is $100. Info and Application on Izaak Walton Leage of Berks County website.
Berks Bassmasters has scheduled its spring buddy bass tournament at Blue Marsh Lake, Sunday, April 11. Launch at first light from State Hill boat ramp. Look for info and application at BerksBassmasters.com.
Mark your calendars for the annual Spring cleanup at Kaercher Creek Park, April 24th, with a rain date of May 1st. More details are available at Friends of Kaercher Creek Park on Facebook.
Tickets are available for the Pennsylvania Trappers Association 2021 Banquet, August 28 at the Reedsville Fire Company in Mifflin County. Statewide trout season opens April 3 at 8 a.m. Mentored youth with permits may fish March 27, with a licensed adult. Both may fish, but adults may not keep fish. Youngsters may keep two.
Berks County waters scheduled to be stocked include: 3/22: Hay Creek; 3/26: Antietam Creek, Antietam Lake, Pine Creek and Kaercher Creek Dam.
Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club will host a free kids trout fishing rodeo, Saturday, April 17 for youngsters 16 and under. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; 3 trout per kid. No minnows allowed. Raffles and prizes. Visit Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club on Facebook.
This year Robesonia fish and game will be having our fishing rodeo for children up to 15 years of age. Last year they didn’t have it for the first time in 50 years .The rodeo will be May 8-9. Mark your calendars for May 29-30 when dogs will fly at Jim Dietrich Park in Muhlenberg. The Mid-Atlantic Disc Dog Club will again have dogs soaring for the Keystone State Classic World Qualifier and the Keystone State River Jam Discdogathon.
